Our Mission

It shall be the purpose of the League, through participation in the interscholastic contest in public speaking and in the dramatic arts, to prepare high school students in the mechanics of the English language, as well as promoting a wholesome spirit of competition.

Alejandro Cardenales

President

Alejandro Cardenales has been in the League for 7 years. He is the moderator from Cupey María Montessori. A student of Journalism, Creative Writing and Filmmaking, he served as the League’s secretary for two years and has been the president since 2013.

Anibal Rivera

Secretary

Anibal Rivera has been a moderator in the League since 2013. He is the moderator from CIMATEC. He has Bachelors in Arts with Focus on English and Teaching English as a Second Language and a Masters in Education with a focus on English. 

Any high school in Puerto Rico shall be eligible for membership in the League. A team composed of a maximum of twelve (12) students, three (3) students per category, will represent each school. The categories are: humorous drama, serious drama, oratory and original. An annual membership fee of $300 must be paid by October 15th. A grace period until November 15th carries an extra fee of $25.

Diana Ramos

Treasurer

Diana Ramos has been in the League for 14 years. She served as the League’s treasurer for four years.

Lynnet Fragoso

Public Relations 

Moderator of  Colegio Católico Notre Dame. She has been in the league for 3 years. She has a bachelors in Marketing and a Masters in Production of events. Currently works as a drama teacher in Taller Artístico Caguas.
